All of our puzzles are truly unique, one-of-a-kind collectible heirloom quality art puzzles.
We endeavor to make every puzzle piece a tiny work of art in itself, with Sid’s intricate artistic cutting style combined with Carol’s original art hand painted directly onto the wood. Each puzzle is signed in the painting by Carol, and signed on the back of a puzzle piece by Sid.
The hand painted artwork for the puzzles is applied with brushes using high quality permanent, waterproof, light fast pigments; protected with a final coat of professional quality non-yellowing art varnish. Painted puzzles are even longer lasting than paper covered puzzles, and the colors will remain beautiful and brilliant over the years.
The myriad of abundant brush strokes in the paintings, combined with the creatively hand cut shapes, make each puzzle piece beautiful and unique.
Both the hand painted art, and the tricky Puzzlemonk cuts, are created with the puzzler in mind to make assembling your puzzles enjoyable time and time again. Assembling Puzzlemonk puzzles always includes the whole process of seeking both color and shape clues, along with special theme related figural pieces.
Sid devotes extra time and care to the cutting of his figurals, with detailed intricate designs and cuts. In addition he endeavors to place each figural into the puzzle where the artwork on the puzzle will color the figural to match the nature of the shape, making it look as if it was painted as a picture in itself.
